UTILIZATION NARROW LAND AS SOLUTION DECREASING OF AGRICULTURAL LAND TO OVERCOME FOOD CRISIS
Increasing population, changing agricultural land into non-agricultural land, such as residential. Agricultural land was reduced, but we have to overcome, for example, by use narrow land. Our yard can be used. As an example we can use it for beauty (ponds and ornamental plants), tabulampot (fruits plants in pots), taoblampot (medicinal plants in pot), tayurlampot (vegetables plants in the pot), fish ponds, small livestock, etc.
Some techniques in utilization narrow land such as verticultur, aquaponic, and other.
Verticultur is the way farming is done by placing the plant in the media containers arranged vertically to take advantage of a narrow location. Aquaponic technology system is emerging as the answer to the increasingly difficult problem to get source a suitable water for fish, especially in narrow fields, aquaponic which is one of land-saving technologies and water that can be combined with a variety of vegetable plants.
Tabulampot can be a solution for who wants to gardening in small fields. By utilizing a small area of land, some types of plant can be placed in adjacent locations. Beside that, almost all types of fruit plants can be planted in tabulampot. Like chocolate, mango, rambutan, oranges, starfruit, water guava, jackfruit, and others. All of plant can tabulampot, except durian, because the roots of durian are not flexible.
